Overview
Genesius Films has begun production on a trilogy of 2d graphic novels and animated films that we plan to push through the Angel Investor's Guild to a full-scale animated production and theatrical release.
We need a total of 10 investments at $6,000 each. These are high risk/high yield investments. We have 2 investors already committed, with only 8 investment opportunities remaining. Specific investment benefits are detailed here.
Your investment has the potential to produce:
- The first, full graphic novel
- An animatic and teaser trailer to submit to the Angel Investor's Guild
- A full animation storyboard for the entire first film
- Final scripts for the whole trilogy
The Project
Synopsis
Pierced in his side by a magical thorn, a fisherman travels across the great ocean in search of the star beyond the sea, which, legend says, gives those who find her a gift beyond all telling.
The Star Beyond the Sea is an epic fairytale written out of the ancient and beautiful western storytelling tradition. It is packed with Biblical and ecclesial symbolism, but you would never know it. The story is designed to sink into the soul, and convey moral truths in a way that only stories can.

Why our strategy works
Why a Graphic Novel?
Graphic novels are extremely popular for our demographic. We will use the graphic novel both as a tool for generating revenue as well as for building an audience. We are not simply relying on building an independent audience for the graphic novel or the film, and we are already in talks with publishers for a graphic novel deal. When sales begin, after publishing fees, you will be paid first.
Why Angel Investors?
The Angel Investors are hungry for animated projects. Angel has only distributed two theatrical animated films as of this writing, both in 2025, which together yielded $169,000,000 at the box office – this does not include streaming revenue. This project is exactly what they want to invest in, and with our animatic we will have the ability to raise the full return on your investment before we produce the film. You will also have the opportunity to invest in the film at this time for the possibility of even greater returns.
